Water
Softener
Remove calcium and magnesium hardness — protect your appliances, enjoy better bathing, and extend the life of pipes and solar water heaters.
How a Water Softener Works
A water softener uses ion exchange to remove calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions — the minerals responsible for water hardness — and replaces them with sodium ions. Hard water (above 200 ppm) causes limescale buildup on pipes, heating elements, taps, and solar collectors, reducing efficiency and lifespan. It also prevents soap from lathering properly, leaves marks on glassware and tiles, and causes dry skin and hair. Kamal Solar water softeners use food-grade NSF-certified cation exchange resin that regenerates automatically using common table salt (NaCl) — there are no specialty chemicals required. The regeneration process takes 60–90 minutes, can be scheduled for off-peak hours, and uses approximately 5–15 litres of salt solution per cycle. Soft water dramatically extends the life of your solar water heater, heat pump, washing machine, and geyser by eliminating scale deposits on heating elements.
Why Choose Kamal Solar Water Softener?
Ion Exchange Technology
Removes calcium and magnesium hardness down to <50 ppm using proven cation exchange resin — no chemicals needed.
Appliance Protection
Eliminates limescale buildup in geysers, washing machines, solar water heaters, and heat pumps — extending their life significantly.
Better Bathing Experience
Soft water lathers better, feels gentler on skin and hair, and leaves no residue on tiles or glassware.
Automatic Regeneration
Timer or meter-controlled automatic regeneration using common table salt — no manual operation required.
Food-Grade NSF Resin
All resin used is NSF 44-certified and food-grade safe — approved for use in drinking water treatment applications.
Optional TDS Inline Monitor
Optional inline TDS meter provides real-time water hardness reading and alerts when the resin needs regeneration.
